I began studying the Violin at the age of 8, and won a place at the Royal College of Music Junior department at 14. At 18 I continued studying full time with Eszter Boda Katona at Trinity College of Music in London. While at Trinity, I won the John Barberolli String Quartet prize with the Tyler Quartet, who were then chosen to represent the college in competing for the inter collegiate Heller Prize. We were also chosen to represent the college by performing on top of the VIP boat as we sailed down the Thames on route to the College's new destination in Greenwich. I was also at the time the youngest person to win the TCM association Soloist competition, playing Bartok’s 2nd Violin concerto in St John’s Smith Square with TCM Sinfonia.
After graduating, I performed with Symposia String Quartet, and as a soloist in venues such as St Martin in the Fields and Holy Trinity Brompton. I also worked as a session Violinist, notably for Littlewoods and Oatibix adverts, with the bootleg beatles, and once for an episode of Rogue Traders! In May 2012 I performed live on 'Later Live with Jools Holland' with singer Ren Harvieu. Recently in 2018 I recorded violin parts for the christmas promotional video for the charity Open Doors, with music by Huw White, and also music for the short film 'The Violinist', music written by Steve Tait.
In 2006 I joined the Eleos Ensemble, a Flute and String Trio who perform arrangements of popular classics, many of which are their own arrangements. We toured with Eleos in Poland, Romania, Turkey and Scotland, and performed in a range of venues in the UK.
A while after joining the Eleos Ensemble I began training as a Suzuki Violin teacher, becoming accredited in 2008. I am now a fully trained level 5 Suzuki teacher. I have also performed with various orchestras, including the New London Soloists Orchestra, Garden Opera, Adoramus Orchestra which I often lead, and Kings Chamber Orchestra with who I have often been the soloist. I also perform with the Asaph ensemble who perform mainly early classical music and improvised music. For the last 8 years I have been performing as a soloist and as part of a violin Piano duo with Merel Van Der Knoop. We have performed in many destinations, and on board the whole P&O fleet excluding one. We also regularly perform in care homes and hospitals. In my spare time I am learning about photography.
